As a friend of Lenny's since childhood, I've heard countless stories about Phil for over ten years, but until recently, I had never met the man in person. I was lucky enough to meet him once, in New Jersey, about six months before his death. We instantly became best friends, and that one day has made a lasting impression on me. Phil's good-hearted nature, optimistic advice, and carefree attitude forever changed my outlook on life, and I'm a better person today because of his influence.
